Mary Ellen 25th February 2016

Ileana's mother, Joan Seander, was my French teacher, and I went with her to France when I was in Junior High. I'm 63 now and we are still in close touch. Although I never had the chance to meet Ileana in person, I've heard so much about her and her family and her achievements, I feel I almost knew her. I know I've admired her greatly for many years. I loved her joie de vivre, and the fact that she was living the life she made and chose. She was extremely smart and intrepid. She was a woman who knew her own mind, knew what she wanted out of life, set her goals and walked her own path while making a wonderful life for her family and herself. I can tell that she was very much beloved by her family and colleagues and she will be missed terribly. Mary Ellen Klugh, San Antonio, FL USA
